The Journey of this Painting

For an entire year, my partner and I searched for a place to call home. This picture was created during that time, when our longing for a home was at its strongest and our hope of stumbling upon a little house in the woods was slowly fading. This painting helped me understand what home truly means — and that it isn’t something you can simply find somewhere.
